2011/2012 Championship Rules

1. All matches shall be played according to the laws set down by the International Rugby Board (IRB).

2. The 2011/2012 ERFU Championship consists of 14 rounds for men, 8 rounds for women and 10 rounds for juniors.

3. Points shall be awarded on the following basis:
Win               4 points
Draw              2 points
Loss              0 point
Bonus             1 point

- for winning while scoring at least 3 more tries than the opponent
- for a loss of 7 points or less

Withdrawal – loss 35 – 0. If withdrawal is announced less than 24 hours before the beginning of the game

4. The 2011/2012 ERFU Champion will be the team with the most points at the end of the 14 rounds. In the event of two or more teams being equal on competition points at the end of the season, the Champion shall be determined on the margin of points scored for and against (points differential).
